PetroKazakhstan is an oil group of companies whose shareholders are China National Petroleum Corporation and National Company KazMunayGas*. PetroKazakhstan's activities include geological exploration, field development, oil and gas production, marketing and transportation, field acquisition, refining, and sales of oil and petroleum products.
The core of the PetroKazakhstan group of companies' production structure consists of two divisions: PetroKazakhstan Kumkol Resources JSC (PKKR) and PetroKazakhstan Oil Products LLP (PKOP). PKKR JSC is located in the Kyzylorda region and is engaged in oil production. PKOP LLP is located in the city of Shymkent in the Turkestan region and is engaged in oil refining.
PetroKazakhstan also holds a 50% stake in two joint ventures operating in the South Turgay oil basin. The company's partner in Kazgermunai LLP is KazMunayGas EP JSC, and in Turgay Petroleum JSC is LUKOIL Overseas Kumkol B.V.
PetroKazakhstan's business is a unified process chain: from geological exploration and oil production to refining into high-quality petroleum products and a developed marketing and transportation system.
