Digital transformation has become a determining factor in the competitiveness of not only individual companies, but also entire countries.
Kazakhstan is confidently moving in this direction, having set itself the strategic goal of becoming one of the largest digital hubs in Eurasia. Kazakhstan is already among the top 30 most digitally connected countries in the UN rankings.
The extent to which digital technologies are being implemented in industry, the economy, and other sectors, whether at the state or private level, is largely determined by government support measures and internal directives. Kazakhstan has established a Ministry of Digital Development, and has already implemented innovation grants and tax incentives for technological upgrading and digital solutions. As a result, 10% of Kazakhstani enterprises have already implemented Industry 4.0 technologies. McKinsey predicts that this figure will increase to 25% by 2025.
Regarding the country's digital transformation priorities, in his speech at the plenary session of the Digital Bridge 2022 forum, Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev outlined five development vectors:
· development of human-centeredness;
· creation of favorable conditions for the IT industry;
· large-scale modernization of IT infrastructure;
· development of the digital economy and Industry 4.0;
· strengthening human capital.
Despite some success in achieving digital transformation, Kazakhstani enterprises still have much work to do in these areas.
Fully digitalizing an industrial enterprise is a significant investment, and not all companies are prepared for such large-scale changes. Furthermore, there is a shortage of personnel and a lack of knowledge in integrating IT and OT expertise.
A less painful approach to solving production problems is to gradually implement information technology, automation, and smart devices at individual installations, lines, or sections of the enterprise. The analytical potential of a single smart device can be enormous, and this can be the first significant step toward digitalization at minimal cost.
Our company's goal is to help you select the optimal solution and equipment that will enable you to effectively implement your digitalization strategy step-by-step without the risk of production downtime. Our partnership with global leaders in industrial automation and information technology allows us to offer the most advanced and effective solutions and qualified specialist services to optimize your production in line with the rapidly changing digital technology market.
