Eaton's RS-Titan series of non-contact safety switches were specifically designed for monitoring protective coverings, including doors, flaps, and covers. Isolated reed contacts are controlled by multiple magnets in the actuator to provide enhanced bypass protection. They are distinguished by their robust design and particularly high safety standards: EN ISO 13849: PLe and EN IEC 62061: SILCL3. These switches are therefore ideal for integration into machine building projects based on international safety directives.
The switches are available in three versions: RS2, RS2, and RS4. This opens up a much wider range of installation options and simplifies installation. The actuator is typically mounted on the moving door. Contactless technology prevents mechanical wear, which in turn significantly reduces maintenance for doors and hatches that do not close properly.
