Our 5000 Series hazardous location sensors consist of two main components: a photo head and a power supply. The photo head, which houses the bulk of the electronics, can be quickly removed from the power supply base with the turn of a screw. These sensors are designed for Class I, II, and III; Divisions 1 and 2, Groups A, B, C, D, E, F, and G hazardous locations. They include intrinsically safe zener barriers and are available in diffuse (2.1 m), polarized reflective (6 m), reflective (10 m), and fiber optic versions in a modular IP66-rated enclosure.
