Diaphragm Seals and Manifolds

Badotherm three-valve manifolds can be used for isolating, calibrating, and testing differential pressure instruments. Manifolds can be mounted directly to the pressure instrument or remotely using a pressure tube. Depending on the type, the three-valve manifold can be supplied with or without a purge connection. All Badotherm manifolds are made of standard stainless steel and are also available in exotic materials such as alloy C276 and alloy 400. This manifold features a non-rotating conical tip to ensure perfect alignment. Badotherm manifolds are manufactured in the EU.

The valve spindle assembly consists of various components. All non-wetted parts are made of AISI 316 (L). All wetted parts match the body material. The cover is secured with a locking pin to the main valve body. The spindle has a safety backseat that prevents accidental spindle removal.

Badotherm needle valves can be used to shut off impulse lines, isolate pressure instruments, or connect vents and drains on flushing flanges. All Badotherm valves are made of standard AISI 316 (L) stainless steel and are also available in exotic materials such as alloy C276 and alloy 400. Badotherm has developed a diaphragm seal capable of measuring pressure at process temperatures up to 600°C. To ensure proper operation, the diaphragm seal utilizes a revolutionary new design and principle at such extreme process temperatures. The design's innovation lies in Badotherm's patent for a high-temperature diaphragm seal (HTDS). Typical high-temperature applications include the chemical, petrochemical, and molten salt thermal solar industries.

Some applications require custom diaphragm seals. We've developed seals that can withstand extreme process conditions, or diaphragm seals that require custom-designed connections.

The BF design features a seal housing made from a forged blind flange. The welded joint between the diaphragm and the seal housing is the wetted part, so the diaphragm materials are generally the same as the flange material. The BF is typically used in conjunction with differential pressure sensors for applications such as level, flow, and absolute pressure measurement.

The diaphragm is TIG-welded to the flange and designed to provide the best performance for a specific size. This means its flexibility and shape are carefully tested and measured. The standard membrane foil thickness is 0.075 mm.
