Exel 2 switch-disconnectors and switch-disconnectors with fuses
- The blocks have removable units with movable contacts for easy connection.
- Exel 2 surface-mount enclosures are made of corrosion-resistant sheet steel, painted light grey.
- Removable blind top and bottom end panels (except for 20A and 32A top end panels which have knockout holes) and sealing doors provide IP41 protection.
- Chrome plated front handles with ON (I) OFF (O) indicator and internal mounting for side-by-side mounting.
- The interior consists of porcelain bases fitted with conductive components made of non-ferrous metals.
Fuses and fuse holders
- HRC fuse holders are designed for offset contact fuse links in accordance with BS 88: Part 2.
- Eaton HRC fuse links installed on switch-disconnector-fuses are suitable for systems up to 415 VAC.
- Eaton fuses used in these products are also suitable for 250V DC systems.
- All performance tests were carried out using Eaton BS88 fuse links.
- The units are equipped with HRC fuse links of the maximum rating, but allow the use of fuse links of a lower rating.
- HRC fuses are equipped with SCH type holders (20A, 32A, 63A – cast; 100A, 125A – porcelain).
Engine Ratings
- The motor ratings assigned to TPN switch-disconnectors are for utilization category AC23A (frequent duty) in accordance with BS EN 60947-3, which requires making and breaking tests to be carried out at 10 and 8 times the rated current respectively for units with a motor rating up to and including 100 Amps.
- The nominal parameters of switch-disconnectors-fuses depend on the installed HRC fuses.
