SPX variable frequency drives are the ideal choice for demanding applications requiring reliability, highly dynamic response, precision, and power. Popular applications include lifting equipment and vehicles (cranes, winches, elevators, and lifts), compressors and oil pumps, grinders, crushers, mixers, extruders, material handling equipment, and tunnel boring machines.
SPX multi-purpose variable frequency drives are designed to address a wide range of applications while maintaining simplicity. In fact, thanks to their superior flexibility, they easily adapt to the additional technological requirements of specialized and complex applications used to control asynchronous motors. Furthermore, their robust design with integrated chokes and EMC filters provides effective protection against line interference. Finally, their sophisticated motor control design and effective protection features for both the motor and the variable frequency drive ensure reliable operation.
The SPX9000 can be used in high power and/or high performance applications. Typical
applications requiring high performance: synchronization of multi-motor systems,
positioning control applications, control and synchronization of winding systems.
SPX9000 supports fast communication between multiple frequency converters.
The SPX9000 frequency converter, with superior computing power, can use
Absolute encoder or rotation feedback to provide precise motor control.
Sensorless vector and simple frequency control are selected using the parameter
parameter. Enclosures are available with protection ratings of IP21, IP54, and IP00.

• Ambient temperature: from -10°C to +50°C without derating
• Protection class for compact design: up to 132/160 kW: IP21 (NEMA1) and IP54 (NEMA12)
• I/O expansion via plug-in modules (5 slots)
