Micro870 Programmable Logic Controller
Micro870 Programmable Logic Controller
The Micro870 PLC was designed with maximum flexibility in mind, offering the ability to install three additional modules and eight I/O expansion modules. This approach allows the controller to be easily adapted to the needs of any type of control system.
The controller's 280 KB of memory allows for modular programming and user-defined function blocks to reduce design time. Additionally, the controller's memory can be loaded with a common control program for all types of machines using the Micro870 PLC.
The controller receives and transmits information via the EtherNet/IP protocol and includes several built-in data exchange ports: a programmable USB port, a non-isolated serial port, and an Ethernet port. It also supports up to two motion axes.
The new version 11 of Connected Components Workbench software provides a unified development environment for programming the Micro870 PLC. This software is also designed for configuring Allen-Bradley equipment such as PanelView 800 graphic terminals, PowerFlex AC drives, Kinetix component-class servo drives, electronic overload relays, light curtains, and programmable safety relays. This feature eliminates the need for separate software tools to configure individual devices, thereby reducing costs and time.
Version 11 also introduces a new software tool that simplifies upgrading and replacing MicroLogix controllers with Micro800 series controllers. Furthermore, Version 11 allows Rockwell Automation Encompass partners to more easily configure third-party accessory devices through the use of graphical configuration profiles. These profiles also support Micro800 accessory blocks and I/O expansion modules, allowing for faster and more accurate configuration.
