Crouse-Hinds eXlink series plugs, inlets, receptacles and couplers are designed to allow hot-swapping (connecting and disconnecting) of equipment in Zone 1 and Zone 2 hazardous locations without disconnecting terminals or circuits, and without a hot work permit.
Available in polyamide, nickel-plated brass and stainless steel, eXlink hot-swappable connectors make electrical equipment assembly, maintenance and repair simple, safe and cost-effective.

- Maximum 4-pole connection + PE (4-pole), maximum 7-pole (6-pole + PE) connections
- Certified for mining (EX I M2)
- The well-known and reliable gluing technique (crimp connection), screwless technique (cage clamp) can be used for selected types
- A special plug and socket are available for use with armored cable.
- The socket and inlet are equipped with metric or NPT threads for direct screwing into electrical equipment, factory metal-filled versions can be used directly in Ex-d enclosures without additional certification.
