Eaton launches new lithium-ion double-conversion UPS systems to provide secure power and load redundancy in mission-critical applications.

Eaton, a global diversified industrial corporation, announced the launch of new Eaton 9PX Li Ion 1.5-3 kVA lithium-ion uninterruptible power supplies (UPS).

Eaton now offers double-conversion UPS systems from 1.5 to 3 kVA with both lead-acid and lithium-ion batteries.

Using lithium-ion technology, the Eaton 9PX Li-ion UPS delivers longer battery life and a smaller footprint than VRLA battery-based UPS technology.

Applications for lithium-ion battery solutions include:

• Power transmission and distribution points (PTD);
• Renewable energy power plants;
• Mobile data centers;
• Continuous cycle production.

The main advantages for the consumer when using lithium-ion solutions, as opposed to UPS with VRLA batteries, are the following parameters:

• The service life of the UPS and batteries is 8-10 years;
• Increased number of charge/discharge cycles;
• The weight of the UPS has been reduced by 20%;
• The weight of the external battery module has been reduced by up to 40%;
• Compactness: UPS size 2U, external battery module EBM size 1U;
• Possibility of remote control, monitoring and updating of UPS firmware.

The Eaton 9PX Li-Ion UPS provides full integration for virtual machine management and disaster preparedness in the event of power outages. Customers can purchase the UPS with a pre-installed Eaton Gigabit Network Interface Card (Network-M2), compatible with Eaton's remote monitoring service for real-time UPS power management.

Eaton 9PX Li-Ion UPS is now available to order in Russia and Kazakhstan.
