Pepperl+Fuchs will be presenting a new product in its range of market-leading purge and pressurization systems at this year's SPS trade fair in Nuremberg, November 26–28, Hall 7A, Booth 330. The Bebco EPS Series 6100 system is specifically designed for use with large motors, drives, compressors, and cabinets in ATEX/IECEx Zone 1 hazardous areas. The automatic Series 6100 is the largest purge and pressurization system Pepperl+Fuchs offers to date, capable of purging cabinets with volumes exceeding 12.2 m³ (450 ft³). This system is ideal for applications in the chemical, petrochemical, and oil and gas industries.
A universal solution for complex industries
The 6100 Series system consists of a control unit, a ventilation duct to protect the enclosure, a low-pressure sensor, and additional temperature sensors. The configurable control unit features a temperature and pressure compensator, an additional output for control or alarm, two intrinsically safe inputs for various functions, and one, two, or three temperature sensor inputs that can monitor various zones within the motor enclosure. An intrinsically safe user interface can also be installed in a separate cabinet near the operator workstation for quick access and convenient system monitoring.

Enclosure protection ventilation ducts with five selectable flow rates (up to 14,000 l/min) meet all requirements for use in large cabinets. An intrinsically safe low-pressure sensor provides accurate pressure readings inside the cabinet for safe operation in hazardous areas. A remote pressure sensor with an operating range of 0 to 25 mbar can be installed in the low-pressure section of the motor to obtain accurate safe pressure readings within the motor.
