For example, local control units support both portrait and landscape orientations. These stainless steel units are among the few on the market that can be configured to accommodate up to four operators. A wide selection of operators, contact blocks, and accessories provides endless possibilities for creating a custom solution. Even large components such as ammeters or buzzers can be integrated into the SR series enclosures. The same applies to junction boxes. Standardized solutions are available in both Ex e and Ex i versions, directly from stock. Furthermore, enclosures can be easily configured to meet customer requirements. SR junction boxes support 15 mm or 35 mm DIN rails, allowing for the installation of a wide range of terminals, as desired. The SR series, constructed of durable stainless steel, offers over 30 enclosure sizes to meet precise dimensional requirements for any intended application. To further enhance cost-effectiveness, IP66/NEMA 4X enclosures are always available as a basic version. Accessories such as gland plates, hinges, 1/4-turn locks, and lid protection are integrated by Pepperl+Fuchs exclusively according to customer specifications. Various international certifications permit worldwide use in a wide range of applications.Depending on application requirements, the enclosures, certified for temperatures ranging from -60°C to +120°C, can be mounted vertically or horizontally at the operating location. All wall-mountable versions of the SR series can be screwed directly to the wall using 90° mounting brackets or rivet nuts, without any additional adaptations.
When used as a control station, the SR series contact blocks can be mounted either on a rail or directly on the cabinet cover. Other supported applications include the aforementioned terminal and distribution boxes and control units, as well as branch boxes or remote I/O field units.
