Eaton's Power Xpert XGIS gas-insulated switchgear is designed with most medium-voltage components fixed in place and contained within a laser-welded stainless steel tank filled with SF6, suitable for harsh corrosive environments. The Power Xpert XGIS MV switchgear offers a compact, high-value option with high reliability and enhanced safety for industrial, oil and gas, data center, utility, mining, and infrastructure applications. The enhanced safety, small footprint, and virtually maintenance-free design of Eaton's GIS help reduce cost of ownership and optimize ROI.
Medium voltage power distribution and control systems
Xiria is a family of SF 6 -free medium voltage switchgear from Eaton designed for ring main and secondary switchgear applications.
Ultra-compact switchgear panels are used to control and protect electrical equipment operated by utilities, commercial building owners, and operators of distributed renewable energy assets such as solar farms and wind turbines. Xiria requires minimal monitoring and maintenance, resulting in low operating costs.
The Power Xpert UX 36 provides reliable power distribution up to 2500 A and 31.5 kA. The switchgear is rated LSC2B, the highest achievable level of loss of service continuity. Maintenance can be safely performed without powering down, maximizing uptime. The Power Xpert UX 36's modular design is fully scalable, with standard circuit breaker ratings of 1250 A and 2500 A at 36 kV. SF₆-free system technology ensures minimal environmental impact and lowest cost of ownership.
The Power Xpert FMX is Eaton's medium-voltage switchgear with a single IEC busbar, using solid and air insulation. The system provides reliable switching, protection, metering, and distribution of electricity up to 24 kV and 2000 A. The Power Xpert FMX consists of modular, compact panels in a metal enclosure at least 500 mm thick. Both the 12 and 24 kV versions are housed in the same compact enclosure.
