Redapt DB Series Insulated Adapters provide a method of isolating the cable gland and cable armour from the equipment in which it is secured.

Insulated adapters are a vital safety precaution for systems with sensitive electronic equipment that rely on a noise-free electrical network. The male and female threads can be made of different materials if galvanic corrosion is a concern.

With ATEX and IECEx certification for Exd and Exe "Increased Safety" environments, Redapt insulated adapters are suitable for use in hazardous areas worldwide.

Eliminates electrical interference
Insulated adapters are an ideal method of providing grounding for cable armour in hazardous environments, particularly where instruments or equipment are highly sensitive to electrical interference.

They can also reduce circulating currents that can cause high-voltage cables to heat up and separate high- and low-voltage ground fault paths.

Raxton adapters and reducers enable connections between dissimilar thread shapes or sizes. Both options feature Exd explosion protection and Exe enhanced safety.

Exd/Exe adapters effectively reduce the diameter of the threaded entry into the enclosure to accept a gland or fitting with a smaller thread.

Exd/Exe adapters work in reverse, increasing the size of the input thread.

The Redapt series of explosion-proof metal adapters and reducers allows you to select electrical thread shapes for equipment approved for use in hazardous areas, while ensuring the integrity and explosion protection of the installation.

Designed for use in hazardous areas, the series is Exd (flameproof) and Exe (increased safety) certified for use in zones 1 and 2. Ex tb (dustproof) certification is also available for use in zones 21 and 22.
