Robust construction
Pepperl+Fuchs's Flat Industrial Client Terminals (BTC) are supplied in a rugged, sealed IP4x enclosure. The compact, reinforced aluminum housing is designed for the harsh conditions of process plants. With an extended temperature range of -20 to +60°C and a fanless design, the BTC can be installed in cabinets, drawers, or containers with extreme temperatures.
Long-term availability
Industrial thin client users benefit from long-term hardware and software availability. The thin clients are built with industrial components designed for long-term production and high reliability. The preinstalled RM Shell 5 VisuNet software is based on Microsoft® Windows® 10 IoT Enterprise LTSB, a long-term support platform from Microsoft.
Ultra HD
Pepperl+Fuchs has optimized the BTC12 for use with the latest display technology. The new version comes with two DisplayPort™ connectors for connecting Ultra HD monitors with 4K resolution at 60 Hz.
RM Shell 5
The pre-installed VisuNet RM Shell 5 firmware simplifies configuration and setup of flat-panel clients—initial setup of the BTC12 and BTC14 takes just a few minutes. And with the optional VisuNet Control Center software, users can efficiently and conveniently configure and manage all VisuNet flat-panel clients.

Technology with an eye on the future
The BTC12 comes with two DisplayPort™ ports for connecting Ultra HD monitors with 4K resolution at 60 Hz. This allows you to monitor everything that's going on. The DP++ feature allows users to connect HDMI monitors with a passive DisplayPort™ adapter. The widely acclaimed BTC01 even supports quad monitors and can display information on four Full HD screens.

Easy configuration using RM Shell 5
To simplify the installation and configuration of the flat industrial client device, VisuNet's proprietary RM Shell 5 software is pre-installed and configured. This software allows you to quickly and easily deploy BTC devices. The latest generation of RM Shell is based on the Microsoft® Windows® 10 IoT Enterprise LTSB operating system with long-term security updates from Microsoft. Furthermore, RM Shell 5 comes with integrated security mechanisms that provide reliable system protection against malware and viruses.
Pepperl+Fuchs' proprietary RM Shell 5 software is available for every VisuNet device. It supports flat-panel industrial client devices in process industry plants—from BTCs in the control room to remote monitors in Zone 1/21. The VisuNet Control Center centralized management software allows plant operators to configure, monitor, and efficiently manage all devices from a single, central location.
