Kazakhstan's businesses continue to face risks associated with unpredictable power supply fluctuations, unplanned outages, complex emissions regulations, and volatile energy prices.

Recently, Karachaganak Petroleum Operating (KPO) faced the need to distribute electricity for low-voltage equipment.
To address this challenge, PTS proposed a unique and compelling technical solution based on an innovative, environmentally friendly material—GRP fiberglass—which boasts a number of features and advantages:
- The use of fiberglass GRP allows to reduce the weight of the equipment while maintaining high mechanical strength and load-bearing capacity.
- Resistance to chemicals and corrosion, ultraviolet radiation, temperature stability and environmental friendliness ensure the durability of the equipment
- Electrical safety: The material used is a poor conductor of electricity.

Solution Description :
- The distribution boards are based on EATON brand equipment and components and are presented as a free-standing unit mounted on a structural frame with a protective rain canopy.
- Cabinets made of black glass-reinforced plastic (GRP) allow front access to the devices installed inside and provide protection according to IP65 class of IEC standard 60529.
- Power supplies consist of circuit breakers required to properly distribute power to the equipment installed in the cabinet, as well as to maintain ergonomic operation and ensure a high level of safety.
- Installation and connection of all equipment was carried out in accordance with the equipment manufacturer's recommendations.
- For cable entry, brass plates with a grounding bolt were installed at the bottom to ensure safety.
The switchboard assembly project for Karachaganak Petroleum Operating was the first project for PTS's in-house assembly shop, further demonstrating the professionalism and creativity of the engineering team.
