Industrial switches and fuses

For many years, the Glasgow product name has been synonymous with quality, trust and reliability, and as part of our long-standing commitment to its tried and tested design, we have reinvested in the future by updating the entire range and introducing a more flexible solution for our customers.

The Glasgow series is now available as a modular solution, with the enclosure and fuse links or switches ordered separately. This allows for installation flexibility by pairing the required fuse link or switch with the appropriate enclosure.

The Eaton busbar trunking system is designed for either compact wall mounting or, with the use of optional support kits, for easy-to-assemble distribution boards. All features are provided for the simple and cost-effective installation of Eaton switchgear and distribution devices in busbar trunking compartments, which can be mounted either on a suitable load-bearing vertical surface or using a pedestal attached to a non-load-bearing vertical surface.

Exel 2 switch-disconnectors and switch-disconnector fuses comply with the design insulation requirements and have been type tested to BS EN 60947-3.

The switches are quick-disconnect type and suitable for use with AC or DC power. The units feature removable assemblies with moving contacts for easy wiring. The Exel 2 surface-mount enclosures are made of corrosion-resistant sheet steel, painted light gray. Removable blind top and bottom end panels (except for the 20 and 32 A top end panels, which have knockouts) and sealing doors provide IP41 protection. Chrome-plated front handles with "ON (I) OFF (O)" indication and internal fastenings allow for side-by-side installation of devices. The interior consists of porcelain bases fitted with conductive non-ferrous metal components.

The Exel range of fuse links is available with standard IP4X enclosures for the entire distribution board range from 20 to 100 A. The range has been enhanced with various additional features, including increased cable space, superior door latches and locking devices (with a choice of a cylinder lock or padlock), improved cover hinges, and a unique protective cover that effectively covers a single fuse, allowing for safe circuit handling. These fuse links do not require a fuse link.
