Crouse-Hinds' EGF Series explosion-proof ground fault monitoring stations provide additional personnel safety and equipment protection in remote areas.

Crouse-Hinds EFS Series explosion-proof fire alarm control panels are used to immediately alert a fire to a fire. They are designed for installation in Class I and Class II locations hazardous due to the presence of flammable vapors, gases, or flammable dust, such as oil refineries, chemical and petrochemical plants, and other manufacturing facilities where similar hazards exist.

The new EDSX series is available with NEMA 4X protection for Class I, Division 2 hazardous locations.

The Crouse-Hinds EDSX, EDS, and EFS series of hazardous area pushbutton control stations, pilot lights, and selector switches are used in conjunction with magnetic starters or contactors for remote motor control. Pilot lights provide visual indication that the desired function is in progress.

EDSX, EDS, and EFS control stations are factory sealed to prevent arcing within the enclosed unit and igniting hazardous atmospheres outside the enclosure. Factory sealing eliminates the need for external seals, simplifies installation, and reduces costs.

Typical applications for the EDSX, EDS, and EFS control stations include industrial environments where the atmosphere may contain hazardous gases and/or dust. A wide range of models is available, providing maximum application flexibility.

• EDSX models are NEMA 4X rated for use in Class I, Division 2 locations.
• EDS - Intended for use in Class I, Division 1, Groups C and D locations.
• EFS - Rated for use in Class I, Division 1, Group B locations

EDS/EDSX and EFD snap-action switches are used with magnetic starters or contactors to control motors. Control panels with snap-action switches are factory sealed to prevent arcing within the enclosed device and prevent ignition of a hazardous atmosphere outside the enclosure. Factory sealing eliminates the need for external seals, simplifies installation, and reduces material and labor costs.

Eaton Crouse-Hinds' EDSCM explosion-proof modular multi-unit enclosures are designed for surface mounting of control device equipment combinations for use in:

• Connection to magnetic starters or contactors for remote control and monitoring of motors
• Manual starting and stopping of small AC/DC motors
• Control and supply of power to portable electrical devices such as motor generators, compressors, conveyors, portable tools, etc.

EDS motor starter control units are factory sealed to prevent arcing within the enclosed unit and ignition of hazardous atmospheres outside the enclosure. Factory sealing eliminates the need for external seals, simplifying installation and reducing costs.

The new DSDX series is available with NEMA 4X protection for Class I, Division 2 hazardous locations.

Crouse-Hinds DSD and DSDX explosion-proof covers and device assemblies are designed for use with our EDS/EDSC backboxes and EDSCM modular multi-compartment device enclosures. DSD/DSDX covers are available with a wide range of devices and configurations, including manual motor starters, front-operated pushbuttons, general-purpose latching pushbuttons, side-operated pushbuttons, selector switches, and indicator lights.

Certified for use in Class I and Class II hazardous locations.

Crouse-Hinds DSD-TS Series explosion-proof timers provide automatic shutdown of fans, heaters, pumps, lighting, and other energy-consuming loads in Class I and Class II hazardous locations. For use with Eaton Crouse-Hinds EDS/EDSC Series backplane boxes (single- and dual-gang) and EDSCM modular control enclosures (up to nine-gang).

Crouse-Hinds DSD-SR Series HP rated explosion-proof selector switches are designed for use with EDS/EDSC mounting boxes in conjunction with magnetic starters or contactors for manual starting of AC/DC motors.

Crouse-Hinds D2X Series hazardous area pendant pushbutton stations are used in Class I, Division 2 locations for safe, multi-function control of motor circuits for hoists, cranes, machine tools, and solenoids. D2X pushbutton stations can control from 2 to 8 functions per application.

Eaton's Crouse-Hinds CEAG GHG44 series explosion-proof control stations are suitable for use in the harshest Zone 1 and 21 hazardous locations. GHG44 control stations are fully configurable and custom-designed, allowing for an unlimited number of control and meter combinations.

Housings are available in high-impact, glass-reinforced polyester or 316L stainless steel in four housing sizes.

CEAG GHG43 explosion-proof control stations from Eaton's Crouse-Hinds division comply with global electrical codes and standards, providing a unified product line suitable for use in applications worldwide. Constructed of fiberglass-reinforced polyester or 316L stainless steel, GHG43 control stations are used for remote motor control, visual indication of equipment performance, on/off control of circuits, and circuit selection.

A variety of devices are available, including pushbuttons, control switches, potentiometers, pilot lights, control units, terminal blocks and counters.

Crouse-Hinds CEAG GHG41 series explosion-proof control stations are suitable for use in Zones 1 and 21, even in the harshest environments. Constructed of impact-resistant thermoplastic or 316L stainless steel, GHG41 control stations are ideal for offshore applications and those with particularly harsh mechanical, chemical, and climatic conditions.

The GHG41 has low side panels, ensuring optimal cable entry. Various components, such as indicator lights, buttons, and switches, are available and can be quickly snapped into and out of the housing for easy cable entry. Recesses in the mounting rails prevent the integrated components from twisting.

Crouse-Hinds CEAG GHG29 Series Explosion-Proof Control Switches offer up to six contacts and 2 to 5 switch positions, making them ideal for power control applications in hazardous and harsh environments.

With snap-in contact blocks and measuring instruments, and a contoured housing for easy access to the connection terminals, the GHG29 was designed for easy installation. Furthermore, a labyrinth seal in the cover ensures an IP66 protection rating.

Available in impact-resistant fiberglass-reinforced polyester or powder-coated cast aluminum, these control switches can withstand the harshest hazardous and industrial environments.

Eaton Crouse-Hinds CEAG EFS series explosion-proof control stations are constructed of lightweight metal and feature up to three components for switching and process control in hazardous areas of Zones 1, 2, 21, and 22. CEAG EFS control stations have an IP67 protection rating, making them suitable for universal use in areas exposed to harsh environmental conditions.

A wide range of integrated components, such as signal lights, buttons, and switches, are available for installation inside the enclosure. Ex-d threads for ¾” Ex-d cable entries are available to facilitate cable entry into the entries.
